All of our trainings are held at the lovely oceanside resort of Puri Bagus Candidasa, which is in a Safe Zone on the Indian Ocean, more than 20 km from Mt. Agung.
After months of sensationalistic press, the truth is that the only activity from Mt. Agung was a small eruption near the end of November, 2017 that caused ash in the air and the airport to close for a few days but everything in Bali was operating normally and everyone was safe. I just spent two months is Bali and it was barely a blip on our screen! It reminds me that “fake news” really does exist!
Will the volcano erupt now?
The volcano now is officially going back to “sleep” and the Alert Level that was once at 4 (out of 5) is now at 2 in terms of the probability of an eruption. Most volcanos are rated at a Level 1 or 2 all the time. So, Level 2 is very safe.
Is everything normal in Bali?Everything is operating normal in Bali and they are encouraging tourists to come visit. The best thing we can do now is help Bali by going to visit and do a Yoga Teacher Training course!
Here are some pictures from my most recent trip there! Enjoy and we hope to see you in Bali soon!
