Angel has a passion for learning and enjoys delving deeper into the subjects of mindfulness, meditation, and yoga. When she is teaching Angel encourages students to explore what is coming up for them physically and mentally. Noticing what is happening in the present moment in your own body is one of the gifts of yoga that she enjoys sharing with her students.
Angel found yoga by accident in 2002 while trying to fulfill her P.E. credit for college. The morning class was the only one that fit into her schedule. She recalls that she loved the class and always felt better on the days she did yoga.
When the semester ended, so did Angel’s practice. Several years would pass before she returned to yoga. While going through a tumultuous time in her life, Angel remembered how refreshing yoga was and decided to buy a few DVDs and a yoga mat. The more time she spent on the mat, the more she realized she wanted to share the joy of yoga with others.
In 2014, Angel completed both her 200-hour certification in Costa Rica, and +300-hour certification in Bali, through Awakened Life School of Yoga. She then became a facility assistant for Awakened Life’s 200-hour August 2015 training in Bali.
Angel teaches yoga at Bombay Room Yoga in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. When not on the mat, Angel can be found outdoors in either the forests of Idaho with her family or playing in the ocean with her constant companion Baya, her 5 year old pit bull. She also enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her daughter.
