Jennie’s teaching melds intellectual fervor with a little dorkiness and a lifelong love of movement to create an experience that is both informative and transformative.
Jennie started teaching in New York in 2006 and now teaches classes, privates, workshops, and teacher trainings internationally. After completing her 500-hour training with YogaWorks, she pursued anatomy studies with Irene Dowd, Leslie Kaminoff, and Gil Hedley (yes, that means dissection). She then added Yoga Tune Up® out-of-the-boxana approaches and self-massage to her teaching repertoire.
Jennie’s parents are relieved that her Smith College degree in comparative literature is actually being put to use in ongoing study of the texts that form yoga’s philosophical foundation. She finds this study infuses her teaching and life choices.
Outside of study and yoga, Jennie can be found in Vermont, happily seated for hours on end in front of her quilting machine or in her favorite reading chair, often with a dark chocolate treat close to hand.
